    Easter Sunrise Service

I got lucky with the clouds breaking up some when the sun came up this morning. You can't rely on weather reports to know what the sky will be like in the Smokies. These were taken from the Foothills Parkway. I arrived an hour before sunrise and there was only one other photographer at that time. Another 10 or so showed up when the colors appeared. It wasn't as foggy as it usually is so I will have to go back for a foggy sunrise sometime.

Very nice larkspur, you sure seem to get alot of haze in your area first thing in the morning, but very nice colours in these.

That is why they call them the Smoky Mountains. They are considered a rain forest.

Very nice, better than flat 'ol Northern Ontario, which is covered under a blanket of frozen ice. Kids have the day off from school today, no buses running...

There are not many photo opportunities in January but if you were lucky enough to see some snow think of it as special because it doesn't stick around very long.

I love snow and frozen photos! There are several counties around here that have closed school because of the weather damage but I would take snow over hail any day.

Very nice indeed. Just love the colours and the play with the dark clouds.
