    Memory card size

    Hi Everyone,

    I have a 8G, 4G , (2) 2G & (2) 1G compackflash cards.
I was thinking about getting a 16G memory card and was wondering if any of you already have one?
If you have been using a 16G card please, let me know how you like it.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Re: Memory card size

    Hi Chuck,

Good poll question that you posted but I think you want to have that as a multi choice but that is OK.

I have 4 X 16 gig cards along with 2 X 32 Gig cards and I have never had a problem with any of the cards that I have. I think I even have a couple of 8 gig cards as well in the bag.

16 Gig is a good choice as it is big enough and can hold alot of data on the cards. I use the 16 Gig cards in the Nikon D700 more so and the 32 Gig cards in the Nikon D300s when shotting wildlife. If you are thinking of buying one go with a name brand like Sandisk, never have I had a problem with their cards.

I have been known to go a little crazy with my shutter button at times. When I get home, I can use my delete button as much as my shutter button

    Re: Memory card size

I just ordered (2) 16Gig Sandisk cards today.
I have only had to swap out the 8G card a few times while shooting.
I try to keep my photo sessions to one hour but some times they go over.
Shooting wildlife and street photos can stretch out for several hours very easy.

I think these are the perfect size in cards, I have 4X16 and 2X32 gig cards, and when shooting birds I use the bigger cards can go through a lot of images at times, and the smaller 16 gig cards I use when not shooting birds.

Yeah, I know shooting in RAW can fill a card up fast.
The 16G cards will also help at weddings.
