Snow Buntings and Turkey in a tree

Went to Casselman again this morning found two Snowys but was unable to get any worthwhile shots seems like their was 6 or 7 vechiles following them around full of photographers so they took off as any vehicle approched.

Managed to get some 100% crop shots of Snow Buntings ( I believe) just as a record shot and a Turkey eating berries in a tree. Also missed out on some Partridges as they scampered quickly into the woods.

    Snow Bunting on a Wire.

Snow Buntings in a tree very busy background.

Found a Turkey in a tree eating berries also with a busy background.

Images are neat here and I'm looking at being able to photograph stuff like this. I like the Snow Buntings, but the Turkey in the tree is funny, normally they stay on the ground and I have never seen one in a tree before.

Peter, nice shots...I know Dennis has photographed Turkeys, but the other bird I don't think he has a picture of them yet. Maybe make a trip to visit relatives and he can take some time to go to this place, but 3 hours drive plus...

The Snow bunting are good looking birds, I have seen one before, guess cause I am in florida during the winter.
I have seen Turkey Vultures in trees before. But usually I see Turkeys driving in their cars, behaving like Vultures.

Nice series Peter and again one bird that I have seen images of is the Snow Bunting but never seen one yet at least not around here. They sure are a nice looking bird, and the Turkey in the tree is funny grabbing berries but it is not often you would see them in a tree but if you are hungry I guess you will do anything. Again another nice find.

My luck I would not find anything if we drove down to Cornwall. But maybe something to think about, since you have relatives there and it won't be a full wasted trip.
