    Kingfisher

Oh these birds are the hardest birds to ever got close enough to them to photograph. I think that being in the right spot at the right time is the only way to get a good shot of them, and although this is not the case, but we did see this Kingfisher flying up and down the beach area, and I thought to see if I can capture the devil. As you can see I did manage to do so, but I did not see the fish until later that night when we were checking out the images for the day.

    Nice capture

We have these in my area also but have not got a photo yet :-( .
I agree that they spook very easy. I have only seen them in flight after I spooked them.

They are nice birds and I think that everyone wants a great shot of them Chuck, but you are right they sure spook easy. I think that the only way to get a good shot of them is you have camo netting around you.

While out for a walk in the parks, I have seen these birds. They do fly really fast. Another great bird in flight shot.

Thanks James and I do see them all the time as well, but one day I would like to get one that is in close and does not spook on me.
