    I bought one of these and am really pleased with the results. It is a lens cap with a translucent dome used for a custom white balance shot. I was having trouble adjusting the white balance on the D90 and this makes it so easy.

    Thanks for sharing this information Larkspur. For me I prefer the Whitebalance card or the Passport color checker card for the reason that I don't need to have one for each lens size. Let us know how you like this device.

    I would like to know how you like the White Balnce lens cap also. There are some interesting ideas on the market now

    I bought a Gary Fong diffuser and the top cap can also be used for white balance and I also have the amber dome for whites and I believe you set the camera to tungsten and it balances that way. Haven't played around with it yet.

    I must say I like it. The draw back is that it is not interchangeable with other lenses that are different sizes.
