    Wireless remote and NikonD90

Is there a way to rapid fire shutter control using the wireless shutter release? On my D90 the options are only for timer remote or no timer remote. Is there another way to set the speed of the number of shots taken per second using the wireless remote?

Are you talking about that wireless remote unit that they sell for this camera? Lynn has this camera and I was thinking of picking up a remote for her just in case she would ever need to use it. I have been looking at if this would fire high speed burst with this remote and have yet to find that out. So I will have to wait till I head back to the store and ask the question. I also found that you can get a cord version as well for this camera and I would think that would work for high speed shooting with the camera in that mode. I will pull at Lynn's D90 and have a look at this, so that I can see if there is a way for cable remote. The limitation for the wireless maybe that you need to be close to the camera, and slightly in front?

Ah, yes this is the one that I was looking at as well, and was not aware that you could use this for high speed shooting. Check out B&H Photo.com and do a search for remote cable D90, there is a couple that claim that will shoot at high speed that I was looking at, and Nkion has a MC-DC2 release as well, but not sure if this will allow high speed shooting, but something that I will be looking into.

Larkspur, I have taken my D300s in for repiars and when I pick this up, I'm going to ask them about the cable for the D90 and see if this will allow for rapid fire with the release cable.

    Hello Larkspur,

Went and picked up the camera this morning and I asked them about the Remote Cable and yes the Nikon MC-DC2 will fire rapid images with this cable, and I will head to the camera store in the next week and pick one up for Lynn's camera. Funny thing is that the cable is about the same price as the IR remote, but I think that the cable is the better way to go.
