May 2011 - April Showers Bring May Flowers

Common theme for this time of the month and don't think I've seen a single flower out of the ground yet, but they will come.

Post your pictures of flowers, gardening, trees budding anything in relation to spring! It's time to pop off the lens caps, clear the memory cards and post em' :)

And to start things off, here is on of my favorite flower images I took last year.

Hi Randy, nice first image for this months challenge. I hope that if we can get away from the rain here I will be looking for some flowers arounf here and try out the 70-200mm lens for these sort of shots.

I have now closed the last challange and Stick this thread on the top.

I thought that I would add an older image since we are getting hit by some more rain today and through the week, but I do hope to go out and capture some images when the weather is nicer. Atleast we have a kick start in this area and I for one hope to see some more images from others.

Nice image Dennis. I don't think we are going to see any flowers this way soon, but I am heading to Westerly next week for two week and hope to fill up my memory card a few times. I'm staying in Mystic and hope to explore the area after class and on the weekend!

Thanks Randy, and I think we are in the same weather pattern more rain for until mid week here and so far I have not seen any flowers around. Have a good trip and hope to see some images when you get back.

Here is another older image that I decided to work on today and added the Orton effect to this one.
