    March 2011 - Machines

I'm going to borrow an idea from another photo challenge and I'm sure each and every one of us has one of these around, in the home or out of the home. Machines. Sewing machines, coffee machines, snow machines, computers, cameras......

I didn't get one in last month, work has been crazy, but hope to get out there with the camera and get some this month or even go through some oldies :)

Can't wait for April / May's themes because that means that spring is just around the corner!

    Fire Machine

I thought I would start off with this image, as the topic is machines, and this one is a big one.

I really like the water coming from the hoses.

Thanks Don, glad that you like that part of it, and I do as well. This was an image that I played around with and converted this as single HDR image, and this is what enhanced the water coming out.

OK, a bit slow here... Anyways I have been looking into a new lens in fact the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 for mid range photography and have spent a number of hours reading the reviews on this lens and images. So today I decided to get the lens as I was concerned that the stores are jacking up the prices do to the disasters in Japan, in fact checked the prices in the area there are a couple of stores already doing this. But down the road I can see the prices going up, anyway here is the first image shot with the new camera. Oh yes, I think that I need to clean the bike this summer.

I agree, but waiting for some nice lighting and will head out with the new lens and test it out. Very happy all around with this lens. You have your borrowed 70-200 f/4, and that is a great lens and the word is that it performs better than the f/2.8 version so I see why you can wait for now. Now control your urge.... You can do it.

Well I guess this challenge did not fly very well, but have an idea to throw at Randy.
