    What are the movie specs for the D90? Camera manufacturers classify 720P as high def, you really need 1080P for the best quality.
    I just looked at your video and comments once again Larkspur. You are shooting at 720P. My son has a HD video camera, which only shoots at 720P. My wife's new Canon P&S camera has 1080P for video, and does much better vidoes than my son's so called HD video camera

    You are correct Don. It is only 720p.

    Yes the Nikon D90 and D300s are both 720P, and agree that your wifes camera will give better results. In a pinch and you want to capture a video these will come in handy, but I have never been a fan of video in the camera but its there if I ever find the need to use it.

    OK I thought it was my D700 that had the video in it but it really is the Nikon D300s and here is a quick test from this morning. A bit better than the D90 but not by much still soft looking.

    Funny thing I was looking at videos taken with a D90 or D300s and all are not up to par in my view, but I did a search for the D7000 which has 1080p and I was impressed with the video that came from that camera, much better. But I still won 't be using the video in the camera unless I need it for something.
