    Capture NX Help

I just purchased this software and I cannot seem to get the results that I want just from this software and keep going back to PS fore the final image adjustments. I have read lots of good stuff about the software and some links on how to use it, but cannot seem to get used to just using this alone. Any tips, suggestions would really help me and I guess to keep pushing through trying to get used to it.

Tom, this is a very good question. I think that Capture NX is a great piece of software, and there are some people that just use Capture NX and don't even go into PS at all and there are others that do some editing in NX and the rest in PS.
I'm one of them that uses NX to do some edits, and the rest in PS. My issue is that I have Filers, Plug-ins and Actions etc in PS that I use on a regular basis and cannot seem to get away from that portion of the post process.

I have a process that I use with NX and I can share this in the Blog area with some screen captures if you would like that?

Good and thanks for helping, glad it is not just me with NX as I wished I really did not buy it after this.

    Re: Capture NX Help

    Dennis,

I wanted to thank you for your help and I tried out a few images and did as you suggested and it worked very well with NX.
I had a look at Jason O'dell's site and there is a NX guide there and I will be purchasing that for reference and learning more about Capture NX. Thanks again for the help

That NX Guide should help you with getting to know NX better there is a ton of stuff that is in there if you want to use it all, but I took only small portions of it as to do the basics in NX and the rest in PS.
