    Capture NX 2.2.4

Well, this issue is driving me nuts.

    1. File Save As
    2. Save As Type, want Tif

Will not allow me to select the Tiff item in the drop down menu, the screen just blinks.

Uninstalled, the software, ran Nikon Regsweep to clear items in the registry, reloaded the the software and the same thing happens again. Put in a support call and will see what happens than. If it is not one thing it's another with this software and frankly not sure how much longer I will be using this software.

Hi Dennis I have not been following this thread just noticed it what problems are you having.

I opened some images in NX2 worked on them and saved them as tiffs with no issues. I am running Windows 7 64 bit same as you I think.

Hi Peter, I don'y know why this happened all of a sudden, had some issues with it but other things that I was OK with, but this problem I cannot use the software at all, well that is not true, I spoke with Roger the other day, and he mentioned a way that I can use it to some degree and that worked, but it's not the way that I wanted it, but will do for now. I even tried Run As Administrator and same problem. Just hoping that Nikon will be able to sort this out, when I call them on Monday.

    Here is an update.

Ran the Capture NX software in compatibility mode XP and the program worked like it should

Installed Updates to Visual C++ 2008 SP1 and no change in getting iot to work.
Installed .Net 4.0 RC to take this up a level and it still does the same thing, but after a number if clicks to save as I can access to save as tiff, where before I could not save the file to tiff. Anyway, there will be a call to Nikon on Monday to see if they can solve this issue.
