Here is a very good tip, again this is something that I do not use, but I will need to look at this one again, since my workflow starts with Capture NX and might be worth doing the white balance while in the software. How ever in Photoshop I use Curve Meister for curve adjustments and white balance.

I need to look at this one again and see the work process of this, right now I find the NIK Viveza does the trick for me and is part of my workflow.

Here is the method I use to get deeper and richer sunsets. I also use this method when the sunset did not cooperate with me, and I need better colors from the image. I hope this helps.

Even though I use Capture NX, I don't do sharpening or noise removal from this software, my prefered method is through NIK software Define and Sharpen Pro as well as PK-Sharpen.

Here is a video that shows you how to get an Orton effect in Capture NX. I should point out that this Action can be found on the Internet and used in Photoshop, and this is my prefered method of using the filter.
